How to Build Your Affiliate Business Website in 4 Easy Steps

This is a 4 step guide to building an effective business website especially if you are an affiliate marketer.

Step 1: Topic

You need to decide which niche you want to go into. Do you want to sell a physical or information package? Once you have decided which product or niche you want to go into, find out who gives the best commission for the product you want to sell. This could be Amazon, Google, Host Gator and so on.

Step 2: Find your Keyword

Each niche has a million keywords and not every keyword has a great return on investment.
To find the best keyword for your niche, go to GoogleAdwords Keyword Planner:

  • Search for new Keyword and ad group ideas
  • Enter your niche, select your “Targeting”
  • Click Generate Ideas

  • Create a list of 5-10 keywords that have at least 100 searches and low competition.

  • Once you find the domain name you want, buy it.
  • Go to HostGastor  and sign up, if you don’t have an account with them.

  • Then change the nameservers of your domain name at GoDaddy to match those given to you by HostGator.

Step 3: Set up WordPress

Once you’re HostGator is in place;
  • Install WordPress and all of the plugins you need to build your site.
  • When the previous action has been completed, choose a theme for your site. You can add in branding and such as soon as you have any. If you are not much of a designer, you can always hire someone on Fiverr to do it for you.
Write a review of your product of about 2000 words with pictures and proper headings

Step 4: Edit and Post content

To post on WordPress you need to login into the admin panel and go to posts > Add New > fill all the required fields (heading + review +images and affiliate link > Publish.
Remember that you have to post on a regular basis and you have to include your Affiliate link in your text.
To further promote your page, you can join forums, guest blog or comment on blogs and reviews of the product you are selling and leave your Affiliate link in the signature.
