How to Build Your Affiliate Business Website in 4 Easy Steps

This is a 4 step guide to building an effective business website especially if you are an affiliate marketer.

Step 1: Topic

You need to decide which niche you want to go into. Do you want to sell a physical or information package? Once you have decided which product or niche you want to go into, find out who gives the best commission for the product you want to sell. This could be Amazon, Google, Host Gator and so on.

Step 2: Find your Keyword

Each niche has a million keywords and not every keyword has a great return on investment.
To find the best keyword for your niche, go to GoogleAdwords Keyword Planner:

  • Search for new Keyword and ad group ideas
  • Enter your niche, select your “Targeting”
  • Click Generate Ideas

  • Create a list of 5-10 keywords that have at least 100 searches and low competition.

  • Once you find the domain name you want, buy it.
  • Go to HostGastor  and sign up, if you don’t have an account with them.

  • Then change the nameservers of your domain name at GoDaddy to match those given to you by HostGator.

Step 3: Set up WordPress

Once you’re HostGator is in place;
  • Install WordPress and all of the plugins you need to build your site.
  • When the previous action has been completed, choose a theme for your site. You can add in branding and such as soon as you have any. If you are not much of a designer, you can always hire someone on Fiverr to do it for you.
Write a review of your product of about 2000 words with pictures and proper headings

Step 4: Edit and Post content

To post on WordPress you need to login into the admin panel and go to posts > Add New > fill all the required fields (heading + review +images and affiliate link > Publish.
Remember that you have to post on a regular basis and you have to include your Affiliate link in your text.
To further promote your page, you can join forums, guest blog or comment on blogs and reviews of the product you are selling and leave your Affiliate link in the signature.

Join the Web Hosting Conversation

This is a personal invitation to you to join newest Facebook Page, Hosting Talk South Africa. This page was created to help you with the problems you might be experiencing with your web hosting company.
This is especially relevant because there are many website owners that are devastated with the hosting that they have now or one that they might have had in the past. Why? You might have recently lost your website to a scam or you may not be getting the support you need from your current web hosting company.

Hosting Scams

A number of businesses do not host their own websites, but rather resolve to providing content and pictures then hire a company to do the rest. These hired companies do the moderating and manage the website on their behalf. Unfortunately, not everyone who offers to take care of your website has the best intentions at heart.

The reason for such a comment is that there are businesses that lose their websites to scams because they are not careful with the media companies that they choose. As a company, you should make it a point to have all passwords to your website because it is yours and you are paying for it.
Quite a number of web design companies can be trusted with building a professional website, hosting it and keeping their customers happy.

+Ivin Viljoen 5 Butterflies Media and Budget Sites for example provide the following services in South Africa:
